At Mad March Hare, we use only the finest, locally sourced malted barley and distill three times in small copper pot stills in the traditional way. We then cut the spirit with Irish spring water to 40% ABV resulting in a drink that is full of character and exceptionally smooth.

I was interested in tasting poitine. I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth clean taste. I expected there to be a hard ‘burn’ to it like American moonshine, but this is a far superior flavor and experience. Overall a great experience!

Looks like moonshine. we were a bit gunshy to try at first as none of use have had good experience with moonshine, we are an Irish Whiskey househould. First sip on ice was hmmm not sure. Second sip and it was game on. Will have to get more.
